Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge with an established company?

My client is a well-established energy solutions provider operating nationally across the commercial and public infrastructure sector.

Based in the heart of Leicestershire, this trusted renewable energy partner has been designing, delivering, and maintaining low-carbon energy systems for over 20 years.

With an expert in-house team and nationwide reach, they specialise in solar PV, biomass, heat pumps, CHP, and district heating solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of commercial, public sector, and estate clients.

The role - Finance Manager

1. Oversee daily financial operations including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger postings.
2. Manage prepayments, accruals, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, forecasts, and budgets.
4. Liaise with suppliers and customers, assisting with VAT returns and CIS submissions.
5. Work closely with the Finance Assistant to ensure timely completion of routine tasks.
6. Process and set up payments weekly and monthly.
7. Assist with payroll processing and support HR-related financial matters.
8. Collaborate with the Service Team and Financial Controller to manage and reconcile stock across systems.
9. Provide cover across the finance function during absences, including postings, payments, and reconciliations.

Minimum Skills/Experience Required

1. Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
2. Proficient in Sage (50 / 200) and Excel.
3. Organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
4. Good communication and teamwork skills.
5. Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
6. Discreet and professional in handling sensitive information.
7. Flexible and reliable with a hands-on approach.
