Job description

FJA is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager role for their well-established client based in Heywood, Greater Manchester.

We will also consider Trainee Finance Manager candidates who are seeking a solid training plan and study support, with the goal of becoming a fully qualified Finance Manager in the near future.

The ideal candidate will oversee the financial status of the organization and provide strategic financial guidance. We are looking for someone with a strong background in financial management and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

1. Managing the company's sale, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
2. Preparing monthly accounts up to trial balance.
3. Controlling cash flow with daily monitoring.
4. Managing financial planning and budgeting processes.
5. Handling quarterly VAT submissions.
6. Processing payroll and pension payments (training will be provided).
7. Overseeing financial accounting and reporting activities.
8. Liaising with the Commercial and Sales Directors.
9. Implementing cost control measures to maximize profitability.
10. Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team.
11. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Alternatively, they will consider a more junior candidate who can be trained up to be a Finance Manager. Study support will be provided if required, with a training period of approximately 12 months.
