Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd. is partnering with a growing Manchester-based manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Manager who will own the finance function and drive performance.

You will oversee daily finance activities, prepare management accounts, budgets, cashflow projections, and year-end processes while leading the accounts team and enhancing financial controls, with strong Xero experience driving system integrations.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day finance function and report to Directors and external accountants.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial insight.
• Prepare year-end accounts and support the year-end process.
• Produce budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections.
• Manage and develop the accounts team and oversee day-to-day finance operations.
• Implement and improve financial controls, including costing processes and sales invoicing procedures.
• Manage and develop the use of Xero, including integrating it with the company's back-office systems.
• Support the business with financial analysis and continuous process improvements.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Client, a growing manufacturing business seeking an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function and support the continued success of the organization.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Overseeing the day-to-day finance function and reporting directly to Directors and external accountants
• Preparing monthly management accounts and providing meaningful financial insight
• Preparing year-end accounts and supporting the year-end process
• Producing budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections
• Managing and developing the accounts team and overseeing day-to-day finance operations
• Implementing and improving financial controls, including costing processes and sales invoicing procedures
• Managing and developing the use of Xero, including integrating it with the company's back-office systems
• Supporting the business with financial analysis and continuous process improvements

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role
• Experience within manufacturing, service, or installation industries would be highly desirable
• Strong management accounting experience with the ability to produce accurate financial reports
• Experience managing or supervising a finance team
• Proficient in Xero with experience of system integrations
• Confident communicating with Directors, external accountants, and key stakeholders
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to improving financial controls and business performance
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
