Search Consultancy are supporting an established business in Malton who are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to lead the transition of the accounting and financial operations from outsourced providers to a fully integrated in-house system. This role will be instrumental in building and managing our internal finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:

Transition & Setup:

  • Lead the migration of financial operations from third-party providers to internal systems.
  • Establish and document financial processes, controls, and procedures.
  • Select and implement accounting software and financial systems aligned with company needs.
Accounting & Reporting:
  • Manage all accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning tools in collaboration with leadership.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
Audit & Compliance:
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready books.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators as needed.
Team & Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial integration and visibility.
To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Experience in accounting or finance; experience in transitioning from outsourced to in-house finance a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, systems implementation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software - Xero would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
