About the Role

Finance Manager - Real Estate Investment firm

Central London, Hybrid

Up to £85,000 p.a.

We have partnered with a privately owned investment group in their search for an experienced qualified Finance Manager to take ownership of all accounting aspects for their UK multi-asset property portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of a dynamic property portfolio, partnering with the property management team and other key stakeholders, ensuring robust financial control, insightful reporting, and strategic finance partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all financial records
  2. Process and review revenue-related journals (rent demands, payment receipts, etc.)
  3. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with VAT and CIS regulations
  4. Supervise the Accounts Assistant's work, ensuring proper oversight of payments and reconciliations
  5. Ensure financial data integrity between ERP and property management software
  6. Prepare quarterly management accounts, ensuring all reconciliations and intercompany balances are accurate
  7. Deliver insightful financial analysis, including project capex, profitability, and cash flow forecasting
  8. Support the preparation of Board reports and MSCI performance reporting
  9. Manage quarterly VAT submissions and monthly CIS reporting
  10. Prepare annual statutory accounts and audit files
  11. Act as the key liaison for external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process
  12. Process Improvement & Change Management
  13. Support business leaders by providing financial insights that drive commercial decisions

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  2. Experience in real estate finance, either from a property consultancy or property management
  3. Hands-on experience in accounting, reporting, FP&A, and finance partnering
  4. Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.
  5. In-depth knowledge of UK VAT (incl partial exemption) and CIS
  6. Good Excel skills and familiarity with accounting and property management software
