About the role
The Finance Manager takes responsibility for specified monthly and weekly financial support activities, as well as providing direct assistance to the Financial Controller in the preparation of reports, returns and ad hoc activities to support the data centre site.
In the absence of the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager is expected to cover a range of reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function.
- Improve the quality of the management reporting and facilitate real business insight.
- Assist, analyse, and investigate the monthly and quarterly management accounts, annual budget and monthly re-forecast for the Group based in London.
- Liaise closely with local auditors to ensure audit evidence is complete and assist in producing the annual accounts.
- Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliation process.
- Invoicing Service agreement and debtor control.
- Capital expenditure administration.
About You:The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a proactive and positive approach to challenges. They demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, and consistently deliver high-quality work under pressure, meeting deadlines and achieving defined targets. They are an articulate English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to operate with professionalism and clarity. With strong business partnering and interpersonal abilities, they build effective relationships across all levels of the organization. This individual is comfortable working with ambiguity and can make credible decisions even when information is limited. Their adaptable mindset and collaborative nature make them a valuable contributor in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Key Requirements- A part or full accountancy qualification is highly desirable.
- Excellent system skills (knowledge of Yardi would be an advantage).
- Prior experience in a senior Finance role where you have been responsible for coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- A flexible and positive approach to problem-solving.
- A resilient nature, able to thrive in a small but busy team.
