Job description

Title: Finance Manager

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + bonus & wider benefits

Location: London, hybrid working offered

Our client, a multinational Shipping group headquartered in London with operations across the world, are currently seeking a technically adept Finance Manager to join their finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the statutory accounting process, ensuring all entities accounts are submitted on time to Companies House. Responsibility for compliance to accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP).
  • Main point of contact for both internal and external auditors, ensuring any issues are resolved.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting process, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Manage the VAT and Duty figures to be provided to external advisors to complete HMRC return.
  • Review existing accounting practices and lead improvements in the monthly and quarterly processes.
  • Oversight of Credit function and process ensuring sound risk management of accounts overdue, credit insurance.
  • Support development transformation from an accounting and financial reporting during planning and implementation.
  • Support corporation and deferred tax calculation and coordinate with the wider UK tax specialists to ensure full compliance with applicable legislation and group strategy.
  • Lead the adoption of new standards and monitor correct implementation. Management Information responsibilities

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified, with at least 1 year prior experience in a financial reporting role
  • Prior external audit experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to provide effective leadership and direction
  • Capacity to professionally manage confidential information
  • Strong knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 is desirable
  • The ability to support and influence senior stakeholders
