Finance & Commercial Manager - (Hybrid)
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE + up to 20% bonus (company + personal performance)

A fast-growing, values-driven social impact consultancy, working at the heart of public services, is seeking a Finance & Commercial Manager to lead financial operations and drive strategic decision-making. The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you'll own financial management, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across the business. You'll also play a crucial role in commercial processes, supporting client projects, supplier management, and strategic planning.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role requiring operational excellence and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage finance operations, including transactional processes (Xero), cash flow forecasting, and reporting
  • Lead client contracting & commercial processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency Oversee supplier & associate relationships, managing contracts and financial arrangements
  • Support leadership decisions on pricing, delivery models, and procurement strategy Collaborate with external accountants to ensure payroll, VAT, and tax compliance
About You
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in end-to-end finance management (ideally in SMEs, consultancies, or service providers)
  • Strong expertise in Xero or similar financial systems
  • Exceptional communication & analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable working autonomously, balancing multiple responsibilities
  • Experience in education, training providers, or consultancy is advantageous
