Service Care Solutions are working alongside Kirklees Council who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to support their SEND finance team. Please find a description of the role below.

Role: Finance Manager (SEND)
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella/Ltd)
Location: Dewsbury
Working: Remote
Contract: 6 months on going

Role Overview

This is abackfillfor the current Children’s FinanceManager, covering thesocial care and learning supportside, including SEND and the High Needs Safety Valve agreement.
It also incorporatesschool funding, as another FinanceManageris due to leave soon. The plan is tocombine both portfoliosinto one role.
Qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Significant experience in public sector finance, ideally in local authority children’s services.
Proven ability to lead and manage finance teams effectively.
Strong experience in financial monitoring, budget setting, and reporting.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to present complex financial information clearly.
