It’s funny to think you’re reading this, even though we haven’t actually met yet. But, given that you’re the Finance Manager who’s going to take our amazing business to the next level, we just wanted to say hi. THE ROLE

As a key member of Buyapowa’s Finance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely financial reports while ensuring the integrity of daily financial operations. Your responsibilities include managing core accounting functions such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and the general ledger, as well as preparing monthly management accounts with insightful analysis. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.

This is an exciting time to join our Finance team. As the business scales and acquires new enterprise clients, your work will directly impact our growth and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of month-end and year-end financial reports.
  • Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
  • Review contracts for appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle statutory submissions (VAT returns & CT61s).
  • Maintain weekly cash flow updates.
  • Support the Financial Controller on ad hoc projects and activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 2-5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Degree-level education.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Proficiency in Excel.
