Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality financial planning and analysis to support reserving for the indemnity schemes.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of financial policies and processes to ensure effective financial management and governance.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the valuation of the indemnity scheme provisions, including handling, modelling, and analysing complex data sets, working with actuarial advisers (including Government Actuary’s Department – GAD), and reporting the best estimate of the scheme liabilities.
  • Managing and coordinating month-end and year-end activities and supporting projects.
  • Developing forecasts, full-year outturns, and conducting ad hoc analyses to understand variances, trends, and risks, supporting decision-making.
  • Supporting the production of the Annual Report and Accounts (ARA) and the external audit process.

Applicants should be qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) accountants with excellent financial analysis, modelling, and interpretation skills.
