Job summary

Reed in the Northwest is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a fast-growing consumer brand with ambitious expansion plans in the UK and internationally. Working with senior leadership, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning, deliver commercial insight across multi‑channel sales, and strengthen financial controls to support rapid growth.

  • Monitor inventory performance, stock valuation, and supply chain finance metrics.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting.
  • Strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks.

Job Title: Finance Manager

  • Location: Northwest

  • Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing consumer brand with ambitious expansion plans both in the UK and internationally.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, providing commercial insight, managing financial planning, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple sales channels.

This is a highly visible position suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to help shape the next stage of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Deliver meaningful commercial analysis to support business growth and profitability.
  • Develop financial models to assess new opportunities, investments, and product launches.
  • Analyse performance across e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, and wholesale channels.
  • Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Monitor inventory performance, stock valuation, and supply chain finance metrics.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting.
  • Strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with teams across operations, merchandising, marketing, and supply chain.
  • Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners.
About You
  • Qualified or qualified by experience finance professional with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, management accounts, and commercial finance.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Confident influencing stakeholders and supporting key business decisions.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced retail, e-commerce, or consumer brand environment.
Essential Requirement

To be considered for this position, candidates must have previous finance experience within a direct-to-consumer (DTC) fashion or lifestyle brand and in the following areas:

  • Inventory management and supply chain finance.
  • Multi‑channel sales environments (DTC, e-commerce, and wholesale).
  • International growth and expansion projects.
  • Shopify, Xero, or similar systems.
  • Experience working within founder-led or high-growth businesses.
