You will take charge of the daily finance function, delivering precise reporting and analysis to senior leaders. Core duties encompass managing ledgers, cash flow, and year-end procedures, alongside enhancing operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience in financial controls and risk management.
• Ability to turn financial data into insights for senior leadership.
• Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualified with ACCA, CIMA or ACA is highly desirable, or equivalent experience.

The Role As Finance Manager

You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and regulatory compliance. You will also take a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting commercial decision-making.

Your key Responsibilities as Finance Manager

• Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee monthly payroll and related statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage VAT, pensions and other financial compliance requirements.
• Oversee supplier payments, cash flow and banking activities.
• Prepare and review month-end accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
• Produce regular financial reports and present key findings to senior leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
• Monitor customer accounts, credit limits and outstanding debts.
• Oversee billing, invoicing and credit control processes.
• Ensure robust financial controls and processes are maintained across the business.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and financial efficiency.
• Lead, support and develop the finance team, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

About You

We are looking for a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and making a genuine contribution to a growing business. You will ideally have:

• Strong experience in a financial management or senior finance position.
• Excellent knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Good understanding of financial compliance, legislation and risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn financial data into meaningful insights.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification is highly desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered.
