Finance Manager

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working alongside a well-established business in Halifax as they look to appoint an accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, where you will be influential in financial decision-making and improving / streamlining existing processes. If you are a hands-on accountant looking for a busy role, working for a group of companies then this could be the ideal role for you.

Overseeing a small and well-established finance team, you will oversee all areas of the accounts function. The client is looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up; from processing invoices to preparing / producing the management accounts. The business has a lovely culture, is family-owned and debt free where all areas of the business work as one.

Duties include:

1. Monthly management accounts, prepayments and accruals
2. Monthly cashflow forecasting
3. Producing year-end statements
4. Ledger maintenance and reconciling accordingly
5. Bank reconciliations
6. VAT returns
7. Oversee small finance team
8. Working with external auditors
9. Close liaison with senior leadership team

Person specification:

1. Experience in a similar role, producing accounts
2. Comfortable working closely with senior team
3. Good IT skills including SAGE

Salary on offer will pay up to £45,000 + bonus. Please note this is strictly an office role, with no hybrid working.
