Job description

Working Pattern

Part‑time, 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) based in our Shoreditch office. We’re happy for hours to be spread across additional days to accommodate school hours or childcare commitments.

Who We Are

We’re The Good Influence – a social agency for the relationship era. We grow brands people believe in, the most trusted ones that help people and the planet live better. We call it The Good Economy, and it’s the only place we work. A few things we’re proud of: 15+ industry awards in under five years, Adweek’s 3rd Fastest Growing Agency Globally, Best Global Small Social Agency 2026, and most importantly to us – Campaign’s Best Places to Work 2026. With 425% growth last year, we’re building something special, and we need exceptional people to grow with us.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, standalone finance role at the heart of a creative agency moving fast. You’ll take full ownership of our day‑to‑day finance function, from management reporting and cash flow to billing and compliance, while partnering closely with our leadership team to support smart, data‑driven decision‑making. We’re looking for someone who is as excited by the opportunities that come with growth as they are by a well‑reconciled balance sheet. If you thrive in fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environments and want your work to genuinely shape how a growing business operates, this role is for you.

Financial Management & Reporting
  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting cycle, producing timely and accurate management accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements, management accounts and board packs; work with the fractional CFO to present findings to the Board.
  • Implement and maintain clear job status and profit reconciliations to help us understand which projects are performing best.
  • Monitor cash flow, debtors, budgets and forecasts to ensure the business maintains strong financial health and liquidity.
Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations; act as the primary point of contact for client and supplier payment processes.
  • Lead on key client billing processes, working with the founders and client services team to ensure billing remains accurate and on schedule.
  • Manage and file VAT returns on time, and liaise with external accountants, auditors and the fractional CFO to manage year‑end.
  • Continuously improve financial systems, controls and processes to support the pace of growth.
  • Review and approve job and project estimates; maintain monthly WIP report schedules.
Strategic Finance
  • Partner with senior leadership and client teams to maintain and accurately track our revenue forecast.
  • Monitor financial performance against market trends, bringing insight and context to leadership discussions.
  • Drive efficiencies and identify cost‑saving opportunities through rigorous analysis.
  • Identify ways your role can reduce friction and improve how the agency operates day‑to‑day.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Qualified or part‑qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a creative, design or agency environment.
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills, with the confidence to present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working hands‑on; this is a standalone role and you’ll own the detail.
  • Xero‑fluent or comfortable on another cloud‑based accounting platform.
  • Excellent communicator, with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
  • Curious about technology, open to finding smarter ways of working – AI, automation, finance tooling.
Why Join Us?
  • Salary: Up to £50,000 pro‑rata.
  • Company bonus scheme up to 10% of salary based on personal and company performance.
  • Hybrid remote working – Tuesday and Thursday in office.
  • Monthly travel and wellness budgets.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and sick pay.
  • Flexible hours: we allow our team to set their own time.
  • Fast growing company with opportunities to grow with the team.
  • Open‑minded culture, welcoming thoughts and ideas to be shared.
  • Working with charitable organisations to help raise funds and give back.
  • Regular team socials.
  • 25 days holiday allowance (plus bank holidays) pro‑rated.
