Job summary

Agora Talent in the UK is seeking a Finance Manager to join a consumer venture capital firm and help drive fund finance, performance reporting and portfolio analysis. You will work closely with the investment team and senior stakeholders to translate complex financial data into clear insights.

The role requires hands-on fund accounting, strong financial modelling and the ability to communicate results to non-finance colleagues. Venture capital/PE experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with demonstrable fund accounting experience.
• Experience in venture capital or private equity funding environment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

• Producing fund performance reporting and analysis, helping senior stakeholders understand performance across the funds
• Supporting portfolio valuations, reviewing financial information and working closely with the investment team

Finance Manager | Consumer Venture Capital

We’re partnering with a leading consumer-focused investment firm to hire a Finance Manager.

Investing in early and growth-stage businesses across the UK, Europe and internationally, this is a great opportunity for a finance professional looking to work closer to the investment process and gain broader exposure to fund and portfolio performance.

Hands-on fund accounting experience is essential for this role.

The role:

You’ll take ownership of key areas of fund finance, performance reporting and portfolio analysis, working closely with the investment team and senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing fund performance reporting and analysis, helping senior stakeholders understand performance across the funds
• Supporting portfolio valuations, reviewing financial information and working closely with the investment team

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with demonstrable fund accounting experience. This is a core requirement for the position.

The client is open-minded on level. You may already be operating at Finance Manager level, or you may be earlier in your career and ready to take the next step into a broader, more investment-facing position.

A background in venture capital, private equity, fund management or the wider alternatives space would be particularly relevant, alongside strong financial reporting, analytical and modelling skills.

You’ll be commercially curious, confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable turning financial information into clear, useful insight. Someone who is digitally minded and proactive in their use of AI and emerging tools would also be advantageous, particularly where technology can be used to create smarter and more efficient ways of working.
