Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking a Finance Manager for our London team. You will report to the European Financial Controller and oversee finance operations across several European countries, ensuring high-quality reporting, strong controls, and consistent processes. Occasional travel across Europe may be required.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, deliver clear financial insight for decision-making, and drive continuous improvement within the finance function, with a hybrid London presence.

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, or practical multi-entity accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP/financial management systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase ledger, including reconciliation, expenses validation, and payment runs.
• Reconcile month-end ledgers including staff expenses, corporate cards and petty cash.
• Prepare client invoice listings and support revenue for subcontractor income, WIP and month-end calculations.
• Prepare and post intercompany transactions, payroll and management recharges, and other cross-entity entries.
• Balance sheet reconciliations across entities.
• Assist with VAT and country-specific finance activities as required.
• Support monthly management accounts preparation and reporting.

About the Role

Finance Manage London | Full-time | Finance

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in London, reporting to the European Financial Controller. This is a key role supporting our finance operations across multiple European countries, ensuring high-quality reporting, strong financial controls and consistent processes across the region. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders, providing clear financial insight to support decision-making and helping to drive continuous improvement across our finance function. Occasional travel across Europe may be required.

Responsibilities

• Management of purchase ledger, including reconciliation, expenses validation, preparation of payment runs
• Reconciliation of month end ledgers to include staff expenses, corporate credit cards & petty cash
• Prepare client invoice listings and support revenue for sub contractor income, WIP and related month end calculations
• Prepare and post intercompany transactions, payroll and management recharges and other cross-entity accounting entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Support statutory and local finance activities where required, including VAT related work and country specific processes
• Support preparation of monthly management accounts

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, or practical experience in a finance or accounting role supporting multiple legal entities

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP or financial management systems
• You will bring strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.

• Language skills, particularly French, Spanish, Italian or German
