Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a well-established housebuilder based in Great Dunmow. This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day financial management while contributing to the company's long-term growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance function, managing all accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee cash flow, cost control, and financial planning across live and upcoming developments.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the senior leadership team with commercial insight and analysis.
  • Ensure financial systems and processes remain robust, efficient, and compliant with relevant legislation.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in construction, housebuilding, or property development is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting skills combined with commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and confident in a stand-alone finance role.
