A leading, award-winning company is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join their growing team. The company has evolved from a delivery-focused operation into a multi-service business across 4 services.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will lead a small, high-performing finance team and take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, ledgers, management accounts, and cash flow. This pivotal role is responsible for driving process improvements and providing key financial insights to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed analysis
• Manage and mentor a small finance team (payroll, sales & purchase ledger)
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Monitor and forecast cash flow, identifying variances and trends
• Streamline and automate finance processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, software, leasing) to provide financial guidance
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Support external audit and statutory reporting processes
• Handle internal stakeholder queries relating to finance
• Oversee monthly employed payroll and subcontractor payments

About You

• Proven experience in management accounting or a similar finance role
• Experience leading or mentoring a finance team
• Strong Excel and finance systems skills (Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in a fast-paced SME, logistics, or multi-entity business
• Involvement in system implementation or change programmes

Location: Glasgow [Hybrid - 3 days onsite 2 days WFH]
