Overview

A well-established SME operating in the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a hands-on finance manager to support the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
  • Deliver accurate monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, VAT, and corporation tax processes.
  • Oversee payroll, supplier payments, and day-to-day financial operations.
  • Line-manage and develop a small finance team.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic planning, investment, and operational decisions.
Candidate Profile
  • Professionally qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling ability; Sage 200 experience advantageous.
  • Background in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
  • Commercially astute, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
