Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a part-time Finance Manager to maintain financial records, manage cash flow, and produce management accounts. The role is hybrid and offers flexible working hours, either 3 full days a week or 4 hours daily. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and an AAT qualification. Knowledge of Xero is essential.

Finance Manager – Part–Time

Location: Near Great Dunmow

HYBRID

Salary: 40,000 – 45,000 per annum Pro–rata (21 hours a week). Hours can be flexible, either 3 full days a week or 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.

You must be a driver for this opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
• Process sales and purchase invoices
• Manage cash flow
• Produce management accounts
• Manage weekly/monthly payroll
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Perform credit card reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns
• Manage credit control
• Provide financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Previous experience in a finance role, preferably for an SME
• Attention to detail and strong data analysis abilities
• A can-do attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Xero or similar software
• Proficient with MS Office packages
• AAT qualification is essential
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified or qualified is desirable
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance role
