Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum

Orka Financial is currently partnering with a growing sme business based in Wokingham that is looking to recruit a Financial Controller/Manager to report to the CEO and have responsibility for the companies’ finance function.

This role will lead and oversee all financial aspects of the business, ensuring robust financial management while driving strategic planning alongside the senior management team with the support of one direct report. The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance leader, responsible for maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s expansion plans.

Duties include,

Managing one direct report

Preparation of monthly management accounts, providing key financial insights.

Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Maintaining robust internal financial controls and processes.

Administering company payroll, company pension and company cars.

Weekly cashflow management, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.

Handling VAT, PAYE, corporation tax queries and ensuring accurate tax compliance.

Key contact for quarterly audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and best practices.

Gathering information for auditors and ensuring quarterly audit meets deadline for group statutory accounts production.

Preparing and presenting quarterly reports to the parent company.

This role would suit someone qualified, perhaps recently (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) who is looking for a role that they can really make their own.
