Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing transactional finance teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and accounting processes.
  • Experience within housing, charity or local government finance highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the AP, AR and rent accounting teams.
  • Oversee timely processing of all income and expenditure transactions.
  • Manage month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement and VAT requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency across all finance operations.
  • Produce KPI reporting and support internal/external audits.

£60,000–£61,000 per annum

Hybrid – 2 days office / 3 days home | Kent

A highly regarded housing provider is seeking a Finance Manager – Transactions to lead its Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Rent Accounting functions.

This is a key leadership role within a collaborative finance team, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in the management of cash flow, financial controls, and customer and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the AP, AR and rent accounting teams
  • Oversee timely processing of all income and expenditure transactions
  • Manage month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement and VAT requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency across all finance operations

The ideal candidate:

  • CCAB-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA)
