Job summary

Millenium Site Services UK Ltd in Derby is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Head Office team. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, lead the finance admin team, and provide a bridge between strategic and transactional finance.

You will produce management accounts, monitor cash flow and budgets, support audits, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a finance management or senior finance role.
• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting software.
• Ability to manage and develop a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, managing and supporting the finance admin team
• Manage month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports for the Head of Finance
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and cost control across divisions
• Support accounts payable/receivable processes and resolve escalated issues
• Assist with payroll oversight and liaise with HR on related matters
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Support audits and liaise with external accountants where required
• Identify process improvements within the finance function

Millenium Site Services UK Ltd is a specialist rail sector contractor, working across Paint, GRP, Glass, and Engineering divisions at our head office & on our clients sites across the country.

We're looking for a Finance Manager to join our Head Office team in Derby. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role sits between senior finance leadership and the finance admin team, bringing structure and oversight to day-to-day finance operations and helping bridge the gap between strategic finance and transactional processing.
