Head of Finance - Finance Manager

Your new company

Leading manufacturer of producing high-performance products, with manufacturing facilities in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. The clientele includes blue-chip corporations in the military, aerospace, and telecommunications sectors. People very rarely leave this company, making this role very rare.

Your new role
Reporting to a senior Director, you will be running the finance function for the Devon site. Your new job will involve:

  • Financial Management: Maintain bank records, prepare monthly accounts, yearly budgets, cash flow summaries, and manage payroll and tax reports.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle company secretary responsibilities, manage healthcare/dental schemes, death in service schemes, and insurance cover.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Managing Director and other employees on energy procurement, financial constraints, and continuous improvement.
  • Human Resources: Manage staff scheduling, training, disciplinary procedures, and ensure compliance with employment and health and safety legislation.
  • Quality and Efficiency: Develop systems and procedures for operational efficiency, participate in quality audits, and promote ethical practices and corporate culture.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Professional Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with over 3 years in senior finance roles.
    Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax laws, accounting standards.
    High level proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and present complex information clearly.
    Experience of SAP or similar ERP beneficial.
