Finance Manager - Coventry - £38k + Benefits

Your new company
Hays are supporting a small charitable organisation based in Coventry who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. You will support the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources as part of the small but experienced corporate resources team.

Your new role

  1. Act as an internal business partner, providing financial planning and performance support.
  2. Lead month-end processes, including reviewing and posting journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet reports.
  4. Manage budgeting and reforecasting cycles.
  5. Handle day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, gift aid, and charity VAT.
  6. Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, pension providers, and payroll partners.
  7. Maintain stakeholder relationships for efficient invoice processing and payment resolution.
  8. Administer the organisation's risk register.
  9. Manage internal assurance and governance processes, including internal audit and compliance testing.
  10. Ensure compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements (data protection, health and safety, fundraising regulations).

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in finance and compliance.
  • Financial Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or working towards them.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial data.
