Job description

Are you a Management Accountant looking to take on more responsibility and move your career forwards? This opportunity would be a great move for you if you are! As the Finance Manger you will support the Financial Controller and oversee a small team.

As the Finance Manager your responsibilities include;

• Produce monthly management accounts including P&L accounts, balance sheets and cash flows providing commentary on results and key variances.
• Prepare year-end financial statements.
• Assist in the management of the external audit process.
• Key monthly activities will include: banking; approving purchase invoices and expenses; reviewing of purchase and credit control ledgers; payroll approval; balance sheet reconciliations; P&L reviews.
• Manage cash flow and expenses
• Assist in regulatory reporting framework
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Deputise for the Financial Controller as team manager when required.

The deal candidate will have;

• Qualified or nearly to qualifying
• 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Proven experience in financial and management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Experienced user of general ledger and ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in financial software applications and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience of presenting data in PowerPoint.
