Job description

Rutherford Cross is excited to partner with a fast-growing fund & corporate services business as they are looking to grow their team in Edinburgh. The business's projected growth provides a clear path of progression and opportunity.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review quarterly management accounts and forecasts for clients, discussing with them directly as required.
  • Liaise with fund managers regarding investor capital calls and drawdowns, including forex transactions, and take action when necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with fund managers by providing excellent service and understanding their evolving needs to find solutions.
  • Ensure all accounting and performance reports are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Review fund drawdown, equalisation, and distribution calculations. Communicate these to investors, along with their tax returns and annual accounts as required.
  • Review statutory trust, small company, limited liability partnership, and limited partnership accounts, ensuring all disclosures are correct. Liaise with auditors and tax advisers for timely filing.
  • Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Challenge clients and auditors appropriately to uphold good governance and best practices for each fund.

Qualifications & Preferences:

  • CA Qualified
  • At least 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Enthusiastic to learn and confident in dealing with all levels of seniority
  • Experience in fund accounting and statutory accounts for limited companies and partnerships is beneficial but not essential.
