We are looking for a motivated and driven finance professional to manage the day-to-day oversight of the company's finance department, responsible for financial and management accounting and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
  2. Prepare detailed annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
  3. Manage cash flow and reporting.
  4. Conduct variance and cost analysis for GM review.
  5. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation such as VAT, HMRC, and corporate governance.
  6. Implement and maintain internal controls and oversee internal audits.
  7. Manage Capex and stock.
  8. Review and approve supplier payments in line with group policies.
  9. Oversee external and internal audits.
  10. Support strategic decision-making through data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  11. Interpret operational and financial data, providing insights and scenario analysis to senior management.
  12. Oversee daily financial activities, including accounts receivable and payable.
  13. Supervise and mentor the finance team, supporting their development.
  14. Prepare period-end financial reports and ensure timely internal and external reporting.
  15. Manage balance sheet provisions and variances.
  16. Prepare financials for Capex justifications.
  17. Manage IFRS16 ROU assets and liabilities.
  18. Identify and escalate financial risks.
  19. Provide support for tender cost reviews when required.
  20. Perform other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with SAGE 50 is an advantage.
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or qualified, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing and supervising a finance team.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proven track record in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards, including IFRS16.
  • Experience leading external audits.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, methodical, and results-oriented.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and capable of prioritizing workloads.
  • Effective workload management and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze statistical data.
  • Team player with a willingness to develop others.

Part-time (30 hours) to full-time (37.5 hours per week).
