Job Opportunity: Finance Manager

We are partnering with a prestigious institution to find a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join their close-knit team. This pivotal role involves overseeing core functions such as statutory reporting, audit, treasury, payroll, and endowment management. Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the production of statutory accounts and support external audit delivery.
  2. Provide technical guidance on accounting treatments and ensure strong financial controls.
  3. Manage and support a small transactional team, overseeing AR/AP, month-end processes, and appraisals.
  4. Support trust and endowment reporting, drawdowns, and financial planning.
  5. Oversee payroll approvals, tax compliance, and salary sacrifice schemes.
  6. Produce cash flow forecasts and ensure optimal treasury management.
  7. Collaborate across departments to promote a culture of value-for-money and financial accountability.
Candidate Requirements:
  • CCAB-qualified finance professional with experience in consolidated accounts.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and accounting standards (RCCA/UK GAAP).
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced level desirable) and familiarity with finance systems.
  • Experience managing small teams and supporting operational finance.
  • Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in education, charities, or the wider non-profit/public sector is desirable.
