Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or CIMA preferred).
  • At least three years of post-qualified experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems.
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Commercially astute with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and enhancing project and operational financial management reporting.
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns, including VAT and corporate tax.
  • Delivering ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strengthening internal control environment and streamlining finance processes.
  • Performing month-end reconciliations and journal postings.
  • Preparing statutory IFRS-compliant financial statements.
  • Managing payroll, employee expenses, and tax obligations.
  • Maintaining accurate Balance Sheet and cashflow visibility.
  • Owning and managing all finance administration processes.
  • Overseeing and optimising administrative activities.
  • Supporting business growth through proactive financial insight.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a dynamic and innovative team. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial management of operations, the corporate head office, accounting systems, and tax reporting. This role will initially combine both financial management and all administrative functions, with the opportunity to build and lead a finance team as the company grows. This is a hands-on position that works closely with the CEO, CTO, operations teams, tax advisers, and external stakeholders. They are looking for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Success will come from not only technical ability but also from being aligned with company values.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and enhancing project and operational financial management reporting to provide insight and support decision-making.
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns, including VAT and corporate tax, as well as other compliance requirements.
  • Delivering ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to supplement regular management reporting.
  • Strengthening the internal control environment and streamlining finance and administrative processes.
  • Performing month-end reconciliations, journal postings, and other general ledger maintenance.
  • Preparing statutory IFRS-compliant financial statements and liaising with external auditors to support annual audits and ensure compliance.
  • Managing payroll, employee expenses, and associated tax obligations.
  • Maintaining accurate Balance Sheet and cashflow visibility.
  • Owning and managing all finance administration processes across the organisation.
  • Overseeing and optimising administrative activities to reduce time and costs of non-finance functions.
  • Supporting the growth of the business through proactive financial insight and recommendations.
