Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 52 weeks per year, on-site working

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Finance Manager. In this role you will provide expert financial advice and guidance, ensuring the effective delivery of comprehensive financial accounting, management accounting, and advisory services. You will play a key role in maintaining legal requirements related to people, property, and building functions and will lead and manage a team to work collaboratively across the School, to compile and monitor the annual budget and financial plans agreed by the Governors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent and comprehensible financial advice to enable effective decision making and ensure all stakeholders are advised of the financial implications of their decisions.
  • Provide legal advice and liaise with external stakeholders to provide service level agreements and contracts.
  • Lead the production of financial reports to ensure accurate financial information is available and financial results are monitored effectively.
  • Plan, direct and monitor the work of the finance team, to ensure the proper financial administration of the school is in accordance with policies, strategies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the overall corporate financial policy and strategy to secure a firm basis for the school’s budget and medium/long-term financial planning.
  • Act as Data Protection Officer for the School.
Requirements:
  • A recognised professional Accountancy qualification; ACA, CIMA, ACCA
  • Experience of Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and project management.
  • Experience of management and financial accounting principles and techniques.
  • Strong management skills with experience of managing and motivating teams of specialists.
