Job summary

Witham Hall School seeks an experienced Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finances including fee billing, payroll, pensions administration, purchasing, banking, and cash-flow management.

The post holder will work with the Bursar on budget monitoring and management accounts, and liaise with auditors for annual statutory accounts. DBS checks are required as part of safeguarding. Applicants encouraged to apply early.

Qualifications

• AAT or CIPP qualification, or substantial relevant experience.
• Strong accounting knowledge and experience with accounting and payroll systems.
• Excellent IT skills, with high proficiency in Excel.

Witham Hall School is a happy and dynamic co-educational boarding and day Prep school, set within superb grounds on the Lincolnshire/Rutland border.

The School is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of all aspects of the School's finances. Responsibilities will include fee billing, credit control, payroll, pensions administration, purchasing, banking and cash-flow management. The post holder will also work closely with the Bursar on budget monitoring and control, the preparation of management accounts, and liaising with the School's auditors during the production of the annual statutory accounts.

The successful candidate will hold an AAT, CIPP or equivalent accounting qualification, or be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience. They will possess strong accounting knowledge and significant experience of working with accounting and payroll systems. The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines, and proven experience of account reconciliations and payroll administration. A high level of IT proficiency is essential, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
