An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a client in Milton Keynes on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves managing VAT returns, leading a small team, and maintaining financial records. Ideal candidates will have a degree or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification combined with senior-level finance experience, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level experience in finance or accounting including budgeting, cost control, forecasting.
  • Experience with Irish intrasat & VAT is essential.
  • Management experience of a small team preferred.

  • Manage customs account paperwork.
  • Conduct monthly and annual profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager based in Milton Keynes to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Summary of the Finance Manager role

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Location: Milton Keynes 100% office-based
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager

  • Report to the parent company in Europe, with limited strategy & decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit UK and Irish VAT returns.
  • Manage customs account paperwork.
  • Maintain general and sub-ledgers, accounts receivable, payable, and fixed asset records.
  • Handle monthly payroll ledger.
  • Liquidity planning.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process.
  • Conduct monthly and annual profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.
  • Manage a team of 2 staff members.

Requirements for a successful Finance Manager

  • Bachelor's degree or full ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience with Irish intrasat & VAT is essential.
  • Senior-level experience in finance or accounting, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Experience in the manufacturing/production/industrial sector is essential.
  • Experience with profitability analysis, VAT returns, and import/export processes.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office 365 and ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Management experience of a small team is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data control and report preparation.
