Summary

The Rep's Finance department is responsible for all aspects of the financial management of the theatre and its commercial subsidiaries. Supported by and reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will have the responsibility for the accurate delivery of the transactional finance function as well as supporting the wider finance team.

More Details

Salary: £32,694.52 per annum with more for an exceptional candidate.
Hours: Full time. 39 hours per week worked over 5 days. However, part time work for 4 days per week (i.e. 0.8 FTE) will also be considered.
Location: This role is based onsite at The Rep in Birmingham, however there is some flexibility for hybrid working after completing the probation period.

The Finance Manager's responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the efficiency of the transactional finance team through a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in the current finance systems and processes.
  • Apply a proactive and diligent approach in the maintenance and improvement of financial internal controls, system and procedures, ensuring a high level of data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with external financial and legal bodies, regulations and standards
  • Submission of statutory returns
  • Support the in the provision of information for statutory accounts, funding applications and other information requests for all of the Theatre's entities
  • Key contact for all finance systems related queries, including maintaining the user database
  • Supervisory support and development the finance team of 2 full time Finance Officers and 2 part time Payroll Officers including management of workload, capacity and performance.
  • Responsibility for month end closure including key control reconciliations
  • Provide first line finance support to Theatre Staff across all levels.

In addition to proven experience of the above candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • People management skills
  • Advanced MS-Office
  • Be well organised and able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of modern, cloud-based payroll and finance systems
