About The Role As Finance & Legal Assistant

The Finance & Legal Assistant will play a leading role in delivering the overall finance strategy, with key focus upon commercial agreements, recovery, stakeholder collaboration and management, finance planning, and driving annual revenue targets.
As a
Finance & Legal Assistant, you will:
- Ensures business processes, administration, and financial management
- Taking ownership of (financial) administration, including creditor management, debtor management and invoicing
- Produce invoices in the Finance ERP - Xero system and monthly maintenance of accounts
- Manage the financial recovery from business development
- Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents
- Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business
- Acting as the point of contact for all internal and external legal matters
- Drawing up and improving various company documents, including debtor policy and collection procedures
- Review of commercial agreements and other related legal documents
- Signing of brand agreements and product loan agreements
- Drafting of NDAs and other legal documents provided by the company
- Assistance to the business development team on clauses in specific cases
- Credit application form filling
- Management of legal matters related to brand agreements and payments
- Management of legal claims and court processes
- Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals
- Reviews financial reports
- Prepares financial forecasts
- Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance
- Analyzes revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets
- Assists management to make financial decisions
- Investigate means to improve profitability.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3-5 years of strong and proven finance and legal expertise and experience
- Experience of advising on basic legal issues and comfortable providing understandable, accurate and timely advice to other departments
- Experience of advising on the key risks inherent within commercial agreements
- Knowledge of basic clauses related to commercial obligations and distribution of products among others
- Basic knowledge on NDAs and data protection
- Experience in debt collection and incident management
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Keen commercial awareness and critical thinker with excellent numerical and analytical skills: Proficient in Excel with ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information into concise recommendations and actions
- Experienced in working across broad cross-functional stakeholder groups to turn strategy into actionable finance plans
- Resilient, naturally pragmatic and resourceful solutions-based work style with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong focus upon delivery: Able to plan, lead, manage and adapt multiple projects at the same time on deadlines, as well as confident and comfortable in making quick decisions
- Able to meet targets and take responsibility for own performance
- A natural leader. Coaching team members to drive performance & enable change as well as supporting development
SALARY RANGE: £28.000-£30.000
