Job summary

Cooper Moss Rutland is seeking a Finance Manager / Financial Controller for a part-time, hybrid role in London. You will own the finance function, manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow, and oversee external accounting relationships.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a small finance team. Dependent on experience, the position may sit at Finance Manager or Financial Controller level with two to three days per week, and fixed month-end close responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience owning budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Strong month-end, management accounts and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close process end-to-end and present results with commentary.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Lead budgeting and rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Own VAT compliance and liaise with external accountants.
• Oversee transactional finance, invoicing, and credit control.
• Improve finance processes, controls and reporting timetables.
• Provide financial insight to non-finance colleagues and challenge assumptions.
