Job description

Finance Lead - Deep Tech, Clean Tech, Climate Tech

We're Hiring: Finance Lead | UK-Based | 9N Limited (Graphene from Plastic Waste)

Location: UK (Remote, but must be UK-based or have the right to work in the UK)

Compensation: Equity, Performance-based Bonus, and a six-figure salary post-funding

About 9N Limited:

We are pioneering the future of advanced materials by transforming plastic waste into sustainable graphene—fueling next-generation technologies from semiconductors to defense. We are not just innovating; we are disrupting the global materials supply chain.

The Role:

We seek a Fundraising Lead who excels at securing funding—not just a spreadsheet expert or backroom strategist. You should be an active dealmaker, capable of networking, building investor interest, and closing funding rounds. You will work directly with the CEO and team to secure funding from VCs, angels, grant agencies, and institutional investors.

What We're NOT Looking For:

  • Accountants or finance professionals without deep fundraising experience
  • Passive advisors or consultants needing guidance
  • Anyone expecting an “apply-and-wait” role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead 9N’s fundraising efforts (equity, grants, non-dilutive capital)
  • Utilize your investor network to introduce, pitch, and close deals
  • Position 9N’s technical and commercial roadmap to funding sources
  • Maintain and develop investor materials, decks, data rooms, and financial narratives
  • Collaborate with the CEO to engage stakeholders in cleantech, deeptech, and strategic capital

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience raising capital for startups or scaleups
  • Strong UK/EU investor network (VCs, family offices, institutions)
  • Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, pitch, and storytelling skills
  • Results-driven mindset

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in cleantech, materials science, or circular economy ventures
  • Previous founder or early-stage operational experience
  • Knowledge of UK grant schemes (e.g., Innovate UK, EIC Accelerator)

Why Now?

We are pre-revenue but validated, with LOIs, pilot partners, and high-profile interest across defense, electronics, and sustainability sectors. We have the vision, technology, and plan—we need capital to scale. Join us to lead one of the UK’s most ambitious materials revolutions.
