Job summary

Leicestershire Police invites undergraduates to join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) Finance team on a fixed-term 10-month contract. You will gain hands-on experience with data, reports and business insights, gathering information to support key decisions across the organisation.

You will develop research and investigative skills while learning how to collect, analyse and present information used by internal and external departments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, Business Management).
• Able to problem solve, make effective decisions and manage time to prioritise workload.
• Experience delivering written reports and verbal briefings; security clearance to SC/MV level required before start.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, interpreting and reporting information to internal and external departments.
• Produce comprehensive written reports detailing background research with structured conclusions.
• Support EMSOU with new ideas and ways of working to enhance responses to criminal activity.
