Job Opportunity: Finance and Business Intelligence Specialist

Hutcheon Mearns is seeking an ambitious finance professional to join our growing Insights team. Our Insights service line specializes in business intelligence, financial process improvement, and automation. Due to increasing client demand, we are looking for a determined and professional individual to help expand our service offerings to a broader audience.

As part of our Insights team, consisting of corporate data automation and transformation specialists, you will deliver intelligence projects to a diverse client base and support existing clients' needs.

As an Accountant and Business Intelligence reporting specialist, you will combine your technical accounting expertise with the ability to translate reporting requirements into effective reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate

• Qualified or Qualified By Experience Accountant with at least two years' experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
• Strong data modelling, ETL, and DAX skills.
• Knowledge of key financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
• Ability to attend face-to-face client meetings in Aberdeen, Dundee, or the Central Belt, with flexibility for hybrid working.
• Desirable: Advanced Excel skills, including Visual Basic macros, and experience with multiple finance systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.
