The role reports primarily to the Divisional Representative, CattleEye, with a secondary (dotted line) reporting relationship to the UK Cluster CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Financial Reporting: Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and month-end reconciliations.
- GEA Reporting: Submission of monthly GEA figures in line with reporting deadlines.
- Accounts Payable: Processing purchase invoices for timely payments.
- Credit Control: Management of credit control processes.
- Sales Invoicing: Generation and issuance of sales invoices.
- Payroll Coordination: Processing payroll payments and liaising with payroll team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Submission of statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, etc.) and payments.
- Statutory Accounts: Preparation of financial statements and tax schedules.
- Process Improvement: Enhancing operational efficiency.
- SAP Implementation: Supporting SAP system deployment.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Providing reports and investigations for management.
- Compliance & Risk Reporting: Monitoring compliance activities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing and maintaining financial models.
- Authorisation Controls: Managing approval hierarchies.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2–3 years of operational finance experience, including shared services, finance transformation, and system optimisation.
- UK accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, or QBE).
- Experience managing grant claims for UK and Northern Ireland (desirable).
- Strong accounting and controlling expertise.
- Hands-on SAP experience.
- Advanced financial modelling, analysis, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to integrate non-financial factors into decision-making.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
- Proven compliance management experience.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective leadership support skills.
- Intercultural competence and stakeholder relationship building.
