Finance Graduate Trainee Researcher PORTUGUESE

This role is 100% REMOTE and offers a rare & exciting opportunity for a graduate trainee/junior research analyst to start a career in M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions). In essence, you will be conducting "detective" work to explore technology businesses that may be open to mergers or acquisitions. Title: Graduate Trainee / Junior Research Analyst
Salary: £30,000 + bonus (total compensation approximately £39,000 per annum)

Location: 100% remote, based anywhere in the UK

The role involves supporting the M&A team in researching and identifying potential acquisition targets. Your responsibilities will include 1) Analysis and 2) M&A deal support.

Responsibilities

Research and Analysis (80%)

• Research potential acquisition targets via various channels, including internet searches and databases
• Use predefined investment profiles to generate a list of up to 25 targets
• Identify decision-makers in large multinationals
• Rank companies and identify opportunities
• Manage data related to potential acquisitions using in-house systems (training provided)
• Assess company finances and data to determine investment viability
• Conduct market research across regions for acquisition opportunities
• Map relevant software M&A advisors globally and regionally
• Identify attendees at industry events who could be targets
• Utilize third-party data sources, industry lists, and trade conferences for insights
• Categorize companies and pass relevant information to the sales team

Deal Support (20%)

• Assist with market analysis, contract review, financial analysis, and due diligence
• Prepare investment memoranda
