About You

Who we are

The finance function is a driven, high performing team, led by a CFO with experience as the FD at Coop Bank and a Head of Finance with a professional services background. The team is underpinned by qualified and part qualified accountants delivering valued insights and analysis to the business and accurate reporting. A strong credit control team manages the receivables balances ensuring debts are collected and Product Support who manage customer’s product set ups and queries.

What does the role offer?

As the Finance Apprentice, you will have core responsibilities to ensure the accuracy of the accounting ledger, that third parties are paid in a timely manner, that funds are received from lenders for all deals completed and customer products set up and managed appropriately. You will have the opportunity to develop an in depth understanding of how the business works and use your acumen to make tangible differences to Finance controls and processes and the opportunity to study towards your Professional Accounting Qualifications.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing, allocating, and reconciling batch payments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate ledger postings to uphold financial and reporting integrity.
  • Reconciling high-volume accounts and balances to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Reconciling the ledger and cash for completed deals, resolving internal and external discrepancies.
  • Completing month-end procedures, including reporting, analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Set up customer products quickly and correctly to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Tackle internal and external queries promptly, building trust through clear communication.
  • Support senior finance leaders with varied, fast-paced and business-critical finance tasks.
