This role sits within our Finance team at our Head Office in Leavesden, Watford. T his role is designed to develop your technical accounting skills, commercial awareness and data analysis through hands-on experience and a variety of structured learning placements across the business.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with cashflow management, transaction recording, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations to help deliver accurate corporate reporting and business controls.
  • Work with finance and operations colleagues to complete month-end and year-end activities, support audits and contribute to continuous process improvement and robust process documentation.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and contribute to small improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and control.
  • Develop technical accounting skills and commercial awareness through a variety of placements across the business.
  • Actively participate in the Skanska Graduate Programme, complete assigned development activities, and progress toward obtaining your accountancy qualification.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Final-year student or recent graduate with a Finance, Business or Maths related degree.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Accounting system skills.
  • Strong interest in innovation, sustainability, and positive societal impact, demonstrated through collaborative teamwork and proactive problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic learner dedicated to personal and professional development, with a willingness to work towards professional accountancy qualification.
