Finance Executive/Assistant Finance Manager

As the Assistant Management Accountant, you can expect to excel in a vibrant environment. Your role will include essential tasks such as managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing, supporting month-end tasks for the board and business, processing billings, and conducting regular analysis to guide internal decision-making.

You'll also coordinate the day-to-day finances of smaller partner companies. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you'll work independently on your tasks while receiving managerial support.

Key tasks include:
  • Manage the accounts payable process with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure all costs are processed on time to support monthly reporting cycles
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts regularly
  • Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end tasks
  • Manage the accounts of smaller sister companies with guidance from the Financial Controller
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, including VAT, P11D, etc.
  • Contribute to improving efficiency in financial processes and systems
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Salary range: £38,000 - £45,000 p/a depending on experience

  1. Initial discussion with our People Coordinator
  2. Interview with our Financial Controller and Head of People
  3. Personality questionnaire
  4. Final stage interview with the Financial Controller and Managing Director

Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar finance role, ideally in a fast-paced or creative environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized and reliable, with good deadline management
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain financial data clearly
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities
  • Experience with Sage is desirable but not essential
