AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham is seeking a Finance Systems Software Engineer to design, develop, configure and support Oracle-based Finance applications across E-Business Suite, JDE and Fusion, aiming for secure, scalable and compliant solutions.

You will engage in integrations, data conversions, automation and SDLC governance, driving reduction of technical debt and system resilience. The role supports a hybrid working model with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifikationen

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications within Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle JDE and/or Oracle Fusion environments.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
• Experience developing interfaces, data conversions and integrations.
• Understanding of ERP business processes including R2R, P2P, O2C and Project Accounting.
• Experience with structured SDLC and change management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with version control and deployment management practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide third-line technical support for Finance Systems applications.
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents and problem records.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across Oracle ERP environments.
• Develop technical solutions using Oracle technologies including PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, BI Publisher.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve application performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of permanent fixes.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Create reusable, maintainable and scalable software components aligned with engineering standards.
• Contribute to automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Ensure solutions comply with architecture standards, cyber security requirements and ITGC controls.
• Maintain technical documentation including designs, specifications and support procedures.
• Follow approved change management, release management and SDLC processes.
