Finance Director , PE-backed SME, Goole – Competitive Salary + Package

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Finance Director to join a fast-growing, PE-backed speciality chemicals group based in East Yorkshire. The group comprises Technikraft Ltd and Delta Fluid Technology Ltd, two integrated manufacturers supplying formulations to the automotive, cycling, cleaning, and metalworking sectors.

Following strategic private equity investment and recent acquisition activity, the group is entering a transformational phase — making this an exciting time to join. With a clear growth agenda and further M&A planned, the incoming Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of the business.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers full responsibility for the group’s finance function. It is a strategic and hands-on position, ideal for a commercially focused finance leader who enjoys working closely with operational teams while also influencing the board and investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the MD and senior leadership
  • Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across the group
  • Own relationships with private equity investors, banks, and advisors
  • Support M&A activity, due diligence, and integration workstreams
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance function
  • Drive systems and process improvement to support scale and control

Candidate Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (practice trained essential)
  • Strong technical foundation in UK GAAP / FRS 102
  • Experience in a commercial SME environment (manufacturing desirable)
  • Proven track record of managing investor, lender, and board relationships
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong business partnering skills
  • Experience of acquisitions, integrations, or business transformation is advantageous
