Description

  • Oversee the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team and trustees.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including management accounts and annual statements.
  • Manage cash flow and oversee the organisation's investments and reserves.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Supervise and support the finance team to maintain efficient operations.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.

Profile

A successful Finance Director should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification CIMA or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the not-for-profit, charity or SME
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including charity finance, SORP, restricted funding and gift aid.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing budgets, cash flow, and reporting processes.
  • A collaborative approach to working with teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in line managing staff

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary of approximately £53,000 - £56,000 per annum (pro rata).
