The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a mission-led scaleup reshaping the way we work, live, and connect. With rapid growth across the UK and a product offering at the intersection of hospitality, real estate, and multisite developments, they’re creating people-first environments for businesses of all sizes — and doing so with sustainability, design, and community at the heart of their mission.

Following a successful expansion and strong investor backing, the business is now gearing up for the next stage of growth, including new site launches and potential international roll-out. Their hybrid HQ is based in one of London’s most vibrant creative districts, and the culture balances high performance with autonomy, flexibility, and fun.

The Role

As Finance Director, you'll report directly to the CEO and take ownership of both financial strategy and day-to-day operations. You’ll play a central role in scaling the business sustainably, leading on internal reporting, fundraising processes, and embedding best-in-class financial controls.

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a finance function in a business where your input will directly shape company-wide decisions. With outsourced finance due to be brought in-house, the role is both strategic and hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO to lead on long-term financial planning and business strategy
  • Build out a high-performing finance team as the company scales
  • Lead preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting
  • Support fundraising efforts (debt and/or equity), manage lender relationships, and ensure covenant compliance
  • Establish robust internal controls and oversee the transition from outsourced to in-house finance
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis in collaboration with department heads
  • Lead the creation and tracking of key financial and operational KPIs
  • Provide insightful financial models to support expansion and new site launches

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or CFO, ideally within a multisite, hospitality, or real estate environment
  • Strong technical grounding with an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, scaling environments where structure is being built
  • Strategic thinker who also enjoys rolling up their sleeves
  • Commercially astute with strong business partnering experience
  • Excellent communicator who can work cross-functionally and influence at board level

What’s on offer:

  • £90,000 - £120,000 base salary (depending on experience)
  • Equity package
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in office)

At Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. We actively welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and assure you that every candidate will be thoughtfully considered for the roles we represent, without regard to race, religion, gender expression, disability, or sexual.
