Finance Director | High-Growth D2C Retailer

Location: Nottingham | Hybrid

We’re partnered with a disruptive, design-led D2C retail brand that’s rapidly scaling in the UK and beyond. With a loyal customer base, high repeat revenue, and backing from top-tier investors, they’ve built a platform ready for the next phase of growth.

As Finance Director, you’ll report directly to the Founder and take full ownership of the finance function, both strategically and operationally. You’ll join at a pivotal point, helping shape decision-making at board level while leading and developing an exceptional finance team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Founder and leadership team on all financial and commercial matters
• Lead the finance function, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, compliance, and controls
• Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Drive margin improvement and cost efficiency across the P&L
• Prepare board packs, investor reports, and support ongoing fundraising activities
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including management accounts and financial reporting
• Build and develop a high-performing team, creating structure as the business scales
• Implement systems, processes, and controls to support rapid and sustainable growth

What we’re looking for:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with post-qualification experience in a fast-paced consumer or retail environment
• Proven experience leading a finance team through high-growth
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Hands-on and strategic, equally comfortable in the detail and at board level
• D2C, eCommerce, or retail sector experience strongly preferred
